This Tuscany batting is made with the very finest superwash Supreme cotton King Size 120in x 120in Tuscany Supreme 100% Unbleached Cotton, our thickest and most cuddly cotton batting yet, is especially designed to give a soft hand and even appearance. Exceptionally easy to quilt by machine, it is the most plush cotton batting we've ever produced. Made with only the finest cotton fibers, this clean, unbleached, long-staple virgin cotton batting proudly displays the Cotton Incorporated Seal. Containing no scrim or binders, this 100% cotton product is lightly needle punched to resist bunching and shifting. Tuscany Supreme 100% Unbleached Cotton is specifically designed to be used with medium or dark colored fabrics - if used with white or very light fabrics, this unbleached cotton can slightly darken the light colors. This batting should be quilted 3-4" apart and will shrink 4-6% after washing, resulting in a quilt with ‘traditional,’ antique puckering. Please note: the closer and more densely this batting is stitched, the less shrinkage will occur. We recommend that the quilt maker spend some time learning about this product before using it on a major project – making samples using this batting to see how it needles and launders is recommended. Pre-washing is not recommended for this batting or any of our other quality batting products.
